Courses No Seedsaving course in 2008 We hope to run it again in 2009 Learn how to: hand pollinate squash; process tomato seed; breed the best carrots; build an isolation cage; and much more!   A course for anyone who is interested in seedsaving, or who wants to improve their seedsaving abilities, while spending a weekend in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside. The course will be run by Kate McEvoy and Ben Gabel of the Real Seed Catalogue, and hosted by Brithdir Mawr Community. The course will cover:- the basic principles of seedsaving; how and why to choose the particular plants to save seed from isolation, selection, and population size; when it matters and what to do to get the best seed how to harvest and process seed; tricks of the trade using common household utensils. Most of the sessions will involve practical, hands on activities in the Real Seed Catalogues seed and trial gardens. Why save seed?
